About Artistry by Joyce |
| Joyce Capen (Choicy Joicey) is one of those "never thought life could
be so busy" retirees. During the Michigan warm season she and her husband
live in the country a few miles outside of Mecosta, Michigan. When there,
she attends get-togethers with the Raising Canes Red Hat chapter of the
Mecosta Senior Center. During the winter she and Clayton can be found frolicking
with other southern snowbirds in warmer states such as Texas. Also, a large
portion of the winter is spent in Mexico on the Gulf of Mexico. She is involved with the art galleries in Big Rapids and Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She also teaches classes in painting and drawing for these galleries and for local senior centers. Before retiring she worked almost three decades for Central Michigan University. While there she took as many art classes as possible and gained an art major from the school. She also has taken numerous art workshops in Michigan, Florida, Texas and Arizona. |
